Future Me empowers lasting behavior change by letting users have meaningful conversations with a healthier version of themselves.
The idea
THE PROBLEM Every doctor visit ends the same way. "Eat better. Exercise more. Reduce stress." We hear it. We nod. And then we go back to our lives — because the consequences feel decades away. The human brain is wired to prioritize today over tomorrow. That's not laziness. That's biology. And it's killing us. Heart disease, kidney failure, type 2 diabetes — 80% of these are preventable. Yet chronic disease costs the US healthcare system $4.1 trillion every year. Not because people don't have information. Because they don't feel the urgency. THE SOLUTION Meet Future You. We built this entirely using Lovable and Tavus — and the speed and depth we achieved in a hackathon window speaks to how powerful these tools are together. Lovable gave us a production-ready full-stack app in hours — authentication, a photo upload flow, a progressive onboarding experience that reveals questions one at a time so users never feel overwhelmed, and a clean dashboard to revisit past sessions. What would have taken a team of engineers weeks, Lovable handled in a single session. Tavus is where the magic happens. Using the photo you upload, Tavus generates a conversational AI persona — your future self, 25 years from now — that speaks directly to you. Not a generic avatar. You. Your face. Your story. Informed by your actual health data, your future self tells you exactly how you got there — and what you could have done differently. And because Tavus supports two-way conversation, you can ask questions and push back, making it feel less like a warning and more like a real conversation with someone who lived through the consequences of your choices today. The entire experience — from photo upload to speaking with your future self — takes under three minutes. THE BUSINESS IMPACT The preventive healthcare market is a $432 billion opportunity — and the biggest gap isn't treatment. It's motivation. How it works
As the conversation unfolds, our application dynamically identifies the topics and challenges being discussed and enriches the Tavus persona with relevant health knowledge and contextual guidance. This creates a personalized, evolving coaching experience rather than a static chatbot interaction. By leveraging Lovable, we were able to rapidly design and orchestrate a seamless end-to-end user experience—from onboarding and goal capture to real-time conversational interactions. Tavus brought the experience to life by enabling emotionally engaging, human-like conversations that make users feel as though they are genuinely speaking with a future version of themselves.
